Ranger's Weekend

Since 2007, Chris and I have been taking an annual trip to Arlington, TX to attend one of the last Ranger's games of the season. This started as a birthday gift for his 28th birthday but quickly became a tradition. This year we got to take Jackson to his first Major League Baseball game and Auntie Na and Uncle Ro tagged along for the fun as well.

We all piled into RoNa's Murano and  left early Saturday morning since the game had been rescheduled from 7 to 3. The first half of the trip wasn't very pleasant as Jackson was not a happy camper. We made a nursing pit stop and I was finally able to get him to take a nap. The rest of the trip was very quiet!
We checked into the hotel to change clothes and headed for the ball park. The Ranger's were playing the Mariner's and had just beat them the night before so we had high hopes for a win. Our seats were fantastic and we even got lucky enough to be under an overhang and didn't have to bake in the sun. Next year, I'll try to look for the same seats again. We were also on an aisle which was helpful since Jackson was all over the place the entire game. He bounced between all 4 of us and I think Uncle Ro had the best time with him. :) Jackson seemed to have a good time and would clap every time the crowd would cheer for the Ranger's. The game was pretty short considering most games last quite some time and we won 7-3!

After, the game we ran to T.G.I.Friday's for dinner and to watch the OU/Missouri game since our hotel didn't carry the channel it was on. After dinner, my former coworker Margaret and her husband Mike came to visit with us and meet Jackson. I absolutely loved seeing her and catching up. We hadn't seen each other since Paycom Prom 2009 and I definitely miss talking to her every now and then at work. I hope we can get together every year we make out annual trip. She's a fantastic lady and her husband is so nice too. Such a sweet and loving couple and I'll be glad to continue to have her in my life.

We had a great weekend and I can't wait to take Jackson again. He will enjoy it even more as he gets older.
